hi all
i ride my shire in a barefoot saddle which is slipping back so i am nearly on his butt. i have tried various pads and breatplates but the blighter still slips back. any suggestions? i was thinking of going to a treed saddle now cos so fed up!

Have you got a proper fitter out to check it? If you ending up that far back it sounds like you are risking doing serious damage to your horse. Even treeless should be fitted to your horse.
Also, beware that a lot of treeless saddles have a weight limit (I'm sure I heard around 12 stone) so if you happen to be over this it might not be helping your situation.
